is anybody making any pistol conversions for the ar-10/stoner/sr-25

just curious i've always wanted a .45acp upper but the problem is that they have to use valuable uzimags as that is the only magazine that fits in a 223 well

being that the ar-10 is a bit wider maybe a grease gun/mac-10 mag don't have one handy to check?

seems like the develpment momentum is toward higher power rounds but there may be a market for weaker cheaper rounds

There are no pistol caliber conversions on the AR10 platform to my knowledge. The are however grease gun magazine conversions for .45 caliber.

That involves a whole new lower:

You have to buy his "10%" incomplete lower, and send it to another guy to be finished (or finish it yourself).

He was even selling it here a while back, if I remember correctly.

Sounds dangerous. Carbine length .223 carbine uppers are already under a lot of stress from short gas systems. Pistols are pressed even harder. .308s just sound unsafe unless you remove the gas system or go piston.

                Baloney.

Nobody here really stresses an AR anyway. And midlength solves the harsh carbine cycling issue. That can be applied to a 308 design, though gawd knows why anyone really wants a 308 pistol.

I only have my high school education to go by, but I seem to remember the original post saying something about 45 ACP......

For 308 pistol however, HK is the way to go
