Firearm damaged during shipping

The manufacture contacted me to tell me that my plastic plano case had a crack in it. That it was damaged. They offered to replace the barrled action on the rifle. With new longgun registration in effect, at least to me this makes it more complicated because I have two of the same longguns in my name.

To avoid any confusion, I was already sending in said longgun in for warranty work on the barrel the manufacture.

Also, I'm guessing I should just eat the DROS fees again, who should be liable for that? Also are replacement firearms exempt from sales tax?

Have them take photos' and file a claim with the shipper.


But don't hold ur breath, claims usually go untiuched or the automated "we're sorry but we are not liable" because xxx or YYY loop hole in our terms of agreement.

Unless caught on cam and sent to the news then a full blown public investigation is held lol

If i go that route, I'll be waiting forever. It would have be submitted by the manufacture and approved by UPS. They're offering a new barrled action sent my FFL next week.
