Best gun show left in CA?

Whats your opinions. Not interested in the old Pomona shows or what not.

    Just current shows.

My vote so far is the Cow Palace shows in SF.

I like Ventura and Costa Mesa, but I'll lean towards Costa Mesa because theres free parking and more to do there in OC. Plus I usually drop the girlfriend off at the swapmeet while I drive around to gate 5 to the free parking. Fun for the whole family. I hear there is a Crossroads show in Ontario comming up Oct. 14 & 15.

Does Baja California count? Last time I checked all the gun shows sucked. It's a great place for me to take my three year old. Lots of toys and candy, plenty of clowns and mall ninjas.

No, no gunshow in CA is worth it. I usually go Reno.

Kind of sad, but the best gun show in CA are the ones in Las Vegas and Reno. Agreed....

Seriously though, the Sacramento ones suck, San Jose sucks, Cow Palace is okay (just small and should be called Gun/Airsoft Show).

How is the one in Costa Mesa?

The sad thing is if we don't support the CA guns shows (even as bad as they can be) we may not have any in the future. The vendors will stop setting up and the promoters will stop hosting them. It will be a victory for people who want to ban gun shows.

I too like the Reno shows much better. Mark your calendars for Aug 11th - 13th for the Big Reno gun show.

Costa Mesa is the largest by far of the California gun shows I have seen (comparing it to Ventura, Del Mar and Cow Palace).

I also used to work at gun shows in Vegas and Phoenix. I'm not sure what the big deal is. There are more varieties of guns for sale across the border - that we can't buy anyway - but otherwise it's the exact same vendors selling the exact same stuff as in California. Gun show vendors move around from show to show like carnies. And Vegas is a crap shoot anyway. There are three promoters putting on shows in that town and only one of them is any good, and none of them is as big as Costa Mesa.

The biggest show I have seen is the Phoenix show, but as you wander through the vast and crowded halls you notice that it's all the same crap you see at the other shows, just a lot more of it. Instead of five guys selling magazines and cleaning patches, there are 15 guys; instead of ten guys selling cheap Chinese optics and AR-15 bling there are 20 guys, everyone hawking the same stuff.

Trouble for me is, the gun shows always happen on the same weekend as everything else, and are just far enough away that I can't visit them and do everything else, too.
