    In short, you can not do it. You would be importing an illegal firearm.

    Get a small drill press, a cheap xy vise and just do it in your garage, or kitchen or bathroom, just do it at home and all is good. Take your time on your first one and the rest get easier and faster.

      ok, what if one was high in the sky over california..say in some sort of aircraft. And then parachuted back to california with the completed lower. would that be ok?

        How many of these threads are we going to have for the rest of the year ??

        AR lower info for dummies........


        #1...buy a 100% lower from gun shop or manufacturer.

        #2...buy a 100% lower via PPT.

        #3...buy an 80%, and remove the trigger pocket material yourself.
        This means no visiting a machine shop, your buddy's garage, or your cousin's drill press.

        YOU MUST DO ALL WORK YOURSELF IN YOUR GARAGE.

        That's it....those are the only ways.
        No out of state milling parties, no airplanes, no CNC milling outside international waters.

        The 3 ways I listed are it people.
