    Shipping Lower Reciever For Warranty

I've read and read, and have seen conflicting information. I am shipping my lower back to the manufacturer for evaluation (across the country). This will be a fully complete lower, shipped with a UPS label supplied by the manufacturer. Plain box and I'll go to the hub.

Question: Am I required to state it as a firearm?

    YES.

I did a quick search and found a lot of relevant information, and this will need to be done, by the book.

Absolutely, the carrier needs to be informed, in writing, probably a form of some sort to fill out. Read up and taking it to the hub and asking questions to your satisfaction (and getting everything in writing) there is your best bet. Best of luck.

if the manufacturer supplied the label then all relevant information is already provided and all you have to do is put it in a box and send it.

^^^^this. I sent my xds back to Springfield for a recall using a shipping label provided by them. Put the label on the box and shipped it with No issues.

You only need to attach their label to the box and drop it off at the hub...they'll scan it and take it.

You don't have to declare anything nor pay any additional fees...that is why they sent you the label
