    S&W Rebate Eligebility Question

    I'm purchasing a new S&W 642 that I put a $125 deposit on Sept 28.
I am paying off the balance and picking it up on Friday, Oct 30.
Rebate coupon ($30) states that from Oct. 1 thru Dec is eligible.
Am I eligible to use the coupon?
That 30 bucks could but me a pocket holster or a box o' ammo!
Plus, I figure I should get a discount anyway, 'cause there is no lock on it.

I would think you would be ok as long as it was DROSed during the eligibility period. S&W would not know that it was on layaway and that you started paying it in Sep....and frankly, it was not yours until you fully paid for it anyway.

It's whatever date the "paid in full" receipt shows not the DROS date. I have a fully paid Ruger Mark III Hunter that's been sitting at Bass Pro for the last 4 months due to other DROS obligations

Seems to me when you pay the balance the receipt should show that date so would fit into the timing for the rebate. I have one of the new no locks too, you are going to like it a lot! It's at Gemini Custom getting tuned and ported, can't wait to see how it shoots when I get it back.
