    AmmunitionSupplyCompany - bad experience

I purchased a few rounds from here:

They: charged my card, held onto my money, emailed me confirmation, website indicated the item was shipping.

Just today I go to check the status. No information on the website.

I try calling - automated telephone responses are circular and useless.

I email customer service. They reply!...wtf?

I receive a response that my order was cancelled; no explanation, no alternative.

This was the only communication from them. They never emailed me to communicate cancellation of order.

My credit card does not show a refund (it's been 9 days).

Oddly several days after I ordered they sold the SAME exact ammunition for .12 more per round.

Has anyone else dealt with this company? Good/bad?

Just had the exact same experience. As I am sure you did, I ordered a good amount of xm855 the morning after the proposed ban came out. They had my order in processing for all this last week and now my order has been mysteriously cancelled. They did not send me any email or anything. I however did check my credit card and they did refund my money.
They have their phones shut off to avoid pissed off customers.
I just left them the worst email that I have ever sent anyone.
They plain and simple cancelled the orders placed before they could jack up their prices. Once they jacked the prices they sold all their stock at those prices and cancelled our normal market value orders.
The worst thing is that was where I was buying all my xm855 at and I would have bought it elsewhere for the same price had I known they were just gouging cowards.
This is not new to the industry as Cheaper than dirt and surplus arms and ammo both now famously cancelled all ammo orders at the beginning of the panic two years ago and sold everyones items for twice as much.
Complete b.s. I plan on contacting the bbb and others.
I encourage others with this experience to do the same and never buy from these deadbeats again.

Never used them before but I order from only a few sites that have reputable service and have always treated me well. Sgammo is a good site and if you don't care for the wait time palmetto state armory has some deals, it just might take 3-4weeks to get but always a good deal. Thanks for the heads up ill be sure to not use them in the future.

        JThuggs.

Yah, I am livid. Here is my thought process/rational:

        I ordered Sat morning (14th).
Checked again sunday - sold out. So their online inventory system must have been working = no excuse there.

Checked again Monday - .12 more a round.

They are supposed to have a rep that is going to call me.

If they do not honor my original order I fully plan to make them eat every last cent they profited off my order. I am looking forward to asking the "rep" if the profit increase on my order is really worth losing a customer... and reading posts like this on every firearm message board. This price gouging pisses me off so much I will bump each thread for as long as possible.

Someone today told me about this company as they were picking up some M855 ammo from me. I'd work with your CC companies and get chargebacks.

I seen the same thing regarding their price increases. I ordered that same Saturday and watched as they had a variety of xm855 most of that week with several price increases.
If I get to speak someone I will ask the same question about it being worth a few bucks to lose customers and get the same reputation as some other low life retailers.
How do you know that a rep is suppose to call you? I can't get through by phone and I would be surprised if I hear back via email. I hope so though.

The price gouging on this item is out of control industry wide. It is only the gun/ammo industry that does this to their customers at the drop of a hat. Surprisingly I have seen many gunbroker auctions end at lower prices than a lot of big vendors are offering.

Nothing like getting cancelled to gouge another customer. Welcome to the wonderful world of online ammo retailers. Sorry you didn't get what you want, I'd be upset as well. This stuff M855 was piled on pallets taller than me as a teen, poof....It's gone.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

Sorry for the newb questions but - Does Calguns have a thread/listing for these types of dealers? (and the good ones?). I would prefer to give my money to a reputable shop vs. another experience like this. Lately I have been simply using Ammoseek but I think that's going to stop now.

                  Thank you,

FWIW, I ordered a few hundred rounds from them last month and didn't have any problems. In fact, they gave me a courtesy call right after I placed the order online to tell me that half of my ammo would be shipped separately direct from their supplier.

Hope you guys get it sorted out regardless.

These situations are very unfortunate, but they do have a small value. They let us know who some of the unreputable dealers are so they can be avoided going forward.

Posts like this one prove a time honored axiom of business that goes something like: A satisfied customer will, on average tell one other person about his/her good experience with a vendor. However, a dissatisfied customer will, on average, tell ten other people about their negative experience.

The short term gains of cancelling orders to sell at a higher price can quickly be overcome by future business loss from customers, and potential customers, who will take their business elsewhere.

FYI here is their facebook website. It Sounds like they did this to a LOT of people:

I tried to find a link to a BBB association to report this. No dice. If anyone has a link to their business via BBB please provide.

                        Thank you,

So they canceled just because they wanted to jack the $$$, so do we now have a new CTD site.

BBB is a voluntary thing on the part of the retailer. not like Yelp.

lots of businesses in this industry have no use for BBB.
