Are Rem oil wipes safe on bluing?

I was wondering if wipes like Rem oil are safe on a blued rifle? I read a bit about what other threads have to say. From what I recall that new rifles will have " Green rust"? essentially from bluing that hasn't fully cured yet?

More or less I just using them to wipe down after handling.

They have been good on all my guns with factory blue or ones I have cold blued.

Rem Oil wipes are perfectly safe for any finish.

Bluing doesn't need to "fully cure"...it's cured when it comes out of the bluing tank.

I took them to Africa with me, they were great. I left almost a full container at camp at the end of the hunt and the PHs loved them.

I never had any issues using any Remington cleaning product. I just wish they still offered there oil in the squirt bottles again. I like the material to clean my AR's cuz it's a good CLP. Big mistake for Remington to drop this from the shelves.

I read a Gun Test Magazine comparison of gun oils about ten years ago. They compared about ten products. Many high dollar products, and some of the less expensive brands we all would recognize, including Rem Oil. Rem Oil was in the top two. Rem oil is predominantly a synthetic oil products. I do not remember the test procedures, or how they judged the performance of the oils. Based on the well written articular I have been using it for years with satisfactory results. Cheap and effective, and Walmart carries it. My guess any synthetic oil motor oil be just as effective. A quart would last a long time.

I hope so, I've been using it on all my guns for years.

I spray fresh bluing right out of the rinse tank with Rem Oil, no it won't harm bluing.

And NO bluing is not fully cured right out of the hot tank. It is relatively soft and is much easier to scratch for a few hours. I prefer to wait overnight to assemble freshly blued guns.
