    Stockade - Westminster

I just left the Stockade and the service was outstanding.
The older gentleman provided me with tons of information...and despite letting him know that I was just killing some time he went down the racks showing me things of interest.

They have quite a large inventory...tons of sporting guns.

Quite an evil black rifle section too. Even had a couple Scars, and a Tavor.

The gal working in the evil section was cute and polite even though I appeared as a mad man (trying to get an eyelash out of my eye). I have soft spot for girls into shooting with brightly colored hair. (Hers was blue )

I very nearly skipped it as the Yelp reviews aren't stellar.

Certainly some place worth visiting and supporting!

        Give it some time.

They'll screw you over or show their true CS.

Took me a couple years and a $650 transaction to see their true colors.

The one eye guy still work there? He was always the worst in the attitude department.

Yeah, the Yelp reviews aren't stellar of a good reason. The employees are morons. All old farts who've been there 30 years and reminds me of an old Denny's Resturant with the same old lady that has been there since 1977 and isn't in a hurry to serve you.

Pricing is very high as well. Most of their customers are from print ads not Cal Guns. People that aren't informed show up and get hosed over with a smile.

I went their about ten years ago and yes the experience was not very friendly as others have stated. My neighbor wanted to go about three years ago so I gave it a shot and seems as though the attitude had changed drastically. I drop in with my neighbor a couple times a year to browse but have never bought a firearm yet, yes they do have a nice selection. If they had what I wanted and the price is right I would buy from them.

One eye guy is still their.

Just did a PPT there Monday. First time there. Not too bad. Kind enough to let me use the restroom in the back. Cute redhead was nice to see after all the old dudes.

Been there once. The guy argued with my friend that a Springfield xd was much easier and quicker to field strip then a glock.

That's really the only memory I have, and the prices are a bit high (full msrp)

I used to go in there. Bought a G30SF many years ago, and later a Ruger Vaquero for my Wife, even though their prices were a bit higher than most. Then I tried to transfer in a gun from an out-of-state FFL, and they said they wouldn't do that because they were protesting the new CA sales tax. No transfers I asked??? ......Kind of killed it for me. I still dropped in there occasionally after that, until I asked them if they would do consignment sale for an SKS I had (an unfired Norinco . . perfect new condition). They told me they don't do consignment but they would buy it from me. If I recall correctly they offered me $125. I felt a bit insulted, especially since they seem to sell their "used" guns at the very high end of retail. .....Haven't been in there in a couple of years. I took much of my business over to Field Time.

The guy you call "one eye" is my friend Eric, he is a good person and has always treated with the utmost respect, not cool to call a person a mean name on an open forum if you don't really know him/her. I have purchased several guns from the them including my .44 Ruger SBH Hunter and I only paid $609.99 for it. They are not your typical gun store when it comes to pricing but that doesn't mean that the employees are to blame. That is what the owner requires. I have and will continue to do business with them.

They stock dillon and other reloading equipment. It's nice to have a local outfit when you break something or need something on a Saturday.

I have given up on all local stores except for the occasional times hell freezes over.
