I live 45 minutes away and had no idea this awesome tribute existed. I just read the book on their mission. Heartbreaking stuff. I'm going to have to make some time to pay my respects here.

Great book called Lone Survivor tells the whole story

I've never read it, but I hear it's an awesome book.

That is a great tribute to the SEALs who lost their lives. As a past Cupertino resident, I am proud a realistic and detailed memorial was chosen (with lots of fire power). Being a bay area city, I sure the local anti-gunners freaked.

Its off of Stevens Creek blvd. Right past kurleys hunting shop and deanza college.
All the brick around the area have soldiers names from all differrent conflicts. If you live near it you should check it out for sure.

Thanks for posting, I never even heard that it existed. Of course in the Bay Area, I'm sure the media didn't actively announce its presence. Had it been a memorial to John Lynn Walker's horrible imprisonment, I'm 100% certain it would have been a media circus and all public schools would be required to take a field trip there annually.

                        I'll check it out.
