    Icore gun choices

I was at the range yesterday shooting revolvers and I started talking to a guy who suggested I go to an ICORE match.

I think I'd like too. I have no plans to become seriously competitive, only have fun and get some practice with guns I already have.

I figured I pick one gun and practice with it for a while and then go to a match.

Which of the three choices would be the best starting point:

627PC 8 shot. But it's a 2 5/8 version. Could use it with moon clips in Limited. Also, I perhaps could carry it, so practice would help in that dimension.

    625JM. 4" 6 shooter. Probably also Limited.

28-2 6". Perhaps best used in Classic. It's a great shooting old gun, but not a collector piece.

I have the three above and would like to pick one to start with.

    Suggestions?

Since you say its just for fun and you have no plans to become seriously competitive, I like option #1.

"Also, I perhaps could carry it, so practice would help in that dimension."
    Well said.

If you want to be competative then the 28 in Classic would be the best chioce, followed by the 625 in classic using AR. Next would be the 625 using ACP in Limited. The short barrel is going to be a disadvantage in any class shooting for score.
