    New gun owner here

Thanks to much advice from Calguns, I bought my first firearm today. My Sig P226 9mm Blackwater will be arriving at my FFL dealer in a few days.

I'll be posting pic and range reports when I get it in 10 days

Thanks to those who gave the advice about using Don Gussler, cheaper and friendlier than any other dealer in the area.

    until next time:

I picked one of them up from a fellow calgunner and love the way they feel. If you are like the rest of us Sig owners this will only be the start of your Sig collection.
and I second the "get training", if you have never had a firearm before.

That is great advice. I will be getting several basic handgun and defensive handgun classes within the next few months. I'm really excited to learn all I can about it. The way I see it, I've been a gun addict for years, I'm just now beginning to feed the addiction

Also had a question for those who could answer: Will my HSC & DROS all be done at the time I pick up the firearm from Gusslers? He just said "wait to get the HSC till you do the paperwork for the gun".

                Thanks

Well the HSC is a test, so get there early, the test is real easy if you have commonsense, if not........................oh well. It also runs about 25.00 for that so make sure you have enough money with you. He can not sell the gun to you with out you having one, so yes it can be done at the same time it is just more of a hassel for you.

Congrats on getting the first and only 9mm you'll ever need Sigs are an expensive addiction, once you start with one you can't help but end up with more.

Yeah, the certificate guide seems pretty common knowledge. I've read it pretty thoroughly over the years, so I hope I have a good grasp on gun safety
