Why would you even post that online?? That is a good example of how someones career get's ruined. Taking pictures of weapons laid out in the armory or barracks is one thing. But your POV?

I know your not a staff NCO or an officer...transporting an issued/serialized weapon is against the base rules and you will be prosecuted accordially by the USMJ.

I retired from the Army in '97. When not deployed, NO military issued weapons allowed in POV's, no exceptions for officers and NCO's, but their are RARE exceptions for operational requirements such as special ops body guards for flag officers and others and also when in a combat zone. Things may have changed since. When transporting military firearms off base, such as for a funeral detail, they must be transported in a government vehicle (bus, sedan) and do not need to be in a case.

Other branches of service may have their own policies.
