And your next gun will be... ?

As I was drifting off to sleep last night I started to wonder what I might find at the next gun show, a new AR or maybe an AK. Ive been wanting a 1911 forever but I really like the Springfield XD, Ive already got 2 9mm so do I get a .40 or 45 but then I also want a revolver, maybe a S&W Airweight 442 but I don't really like the internal lock thing so maybe Ill get a Ruger Blackhawck 44 mag. but do I get stainless? I really like the 7 1/2" barrel... I wonder if my local gun stores have any in stock. Ive got enough shotguns, or do I? What about ammo, do I have enough, is it possible to have enough. I definitely need another thousand rounds of 5.56 and 9mm and 44 mag and 45 and... then I take an Ambien and go to sleep and dream that I own the biggest gun shop in North America.

Its the same thing every night... have I turned into a gun crazy... well duh... and who is the crazy anyway... the ones with or the ones without? (rhetorical)

How do you decide which gun you buy next, do you have a 'to do' list? Do you look for deals, promo's, rebates? Do you look for deals on used guns? Are you an impulse buyer? Do you flip a coin? Do you have a specific budget? Is it a decision based on the current political climate? Do you buy according to model number (set collector). All of the above - none of the above? How do you weigh it all out

Here's my standard gun buying plan:

#1. What do I need for defense?
#2. What does my family need for defense?
#3. What are they going to ban next that I may want?
    #4. Fantastic $$$ deal trumps #1-3
#5. What do I add to my collection that I've wanted and may be hard to get in the future? (see #3)
#6. If I win the lotto, I'll buy ______ because I'll already have everything else that falls in betwee #1-#5.

Next gun will be a Ruger 22/45, to replace the MkII I parted ways with a long time ago. After that, a 1911, because I want one.

I have a running list in my head of what I want. Most of those guns are kinda pricey. If I see a good deal on a gun that I want, I just buy that out of order.

          - Took home a Ruger 77/44 .44mag bolt-action carbine last week
          - Took home another 870 last night.
          - Have a ruger GP-100 (6", .357) on layaway at the moment
          - Awaiting delivery of a 1919a4, so I can start DROS

After that, more AR stuff. Possibly an AK, since I've always kinda wanted one and have a case of 7.62x39 just sitting around.

I have a GP 100 on layaway and am also waiting for my 1919.
Can't say what I want next, because the BF will then run out and buy the exact same gun, before me. (Copycat!)
I have some catching up to do and he won't even let me!

                I need a fighting handgun.

                Likely a Glock 23 or a 4" 357 revolver if I find a good deal.

Next would probably be something that can reach out and touch someone. Probably a Savage in .308

Being broke kinda sucks, but I don't let it stop me

SOCOM 16, as soon as I get some funds going I'd hate to put it on CC.

Still haven't done anything with my first one. Saving up for a rainy day on it.

Since I just started reloading 44mag (for my Ruger Super Blackhawk) - my next gun will be a Henry Big Boy in the same caliber.

I have a Les Baer Permire II I have been waiting on for 4 months now. Should be here any day now so that is going to leave my wallet $1500.00 lighter, but I have a longing for a 450 bushmaster featurless AR after shooting Slash2's. That is simply the most awesome thing I have held since getting my Grandfathers rifle he picked up in Switzerland, 1945.

I'm looking at some sort of Semi Auto .308. A G3, Fal, AR10 or M1A. I'm leaning towards the Fal or AR10 right now. Smith and Edwards north of Ogden has a Century Arms Fal for $799 and a DPMS AR10 with a big ol bull barrell and floating forearm for like $1100. After that if the next civil war has not started I will get an ak and couple of sks's.

Either CZ P01 or RIA Tactical 1911. Leaning towards the P01 simply because I'm already set up for 9mm reloading with lots of components on hand.

I have an irrational fetish for Enfield sporters. Knew a guy that had a sporterized No. 4, always liked that rifle. That would be my only non-planned purchase, if I ran into a nice piece.

                              Another AR lower, just because.

AK kit & flats for the little paranoid voice in my head. Yes, I know I missed the boat on the sub-$100 kits.
