nope you can shoot more than .22 or shotgun. Cant shoot 9 mill in public

I am not interested in getting involved in the political aspects of the OP’s post, but I do know from personal experience that one of the major issues in building an indoor range is satisfying the EPA regulations relative to proper capture and exhaust of both lead and the byproduct fumes/gas of firing live ammunition. It is very expensive to retrofit the proper exhaust system in an established building.

OK, you're getting close. It's actually 4-2102 that addresses the minimum distances from structures for the discharge of firearms.

Now - please show me the part about "500 ft from a residence and aimed away" (From your Post #3) that you seem to think is the law.

The code seems to spec 200 yards (yes - I know that for practical matters you're were only a hundred feet off. It's the principle of the thing). There are several other limiting factors other than residences. There is nothing about point of aim in the code.

If you're in a rural area, you may be able to do this. I'd just go through the zoning and permitting issues to cover your bases.

Ok here it is after talking to the different agency's. If it is in the county not the city, if its not in a residential neighborhood but rather in a warehouse or AG building etc. its not a big deal. Planning doesn't regulate. Sheriiff said if its in your warehouse and only for the occupant, no issue.
