I'll sell a gun that doesn't thrill me anymore in a heartbeat to buy one that does.

Other than that, the guns would only go for the following:

      1) Child or wife hospital bills
      2) Child's college tuition
      3) Mortgage
      4) Car payment

And selling the guns would be the last resort.
My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.

The trick is to have a bunch of them, rotate the "shooters" out once in a
while and use the funds for bills, vacations or another gun. But always keep
the guns dearest to you REALLY far back in the safe. They tend to be the
        hardest to replace.

Guns are like beer, you have to have at least a twelve pack around.

And try to spend money from selling a gun on buying another better gun if possile, this has worked for me.
