    Saving Freedom Group?

When I was younger I remember the Bikers ridding Harleys around Wall Street to save Harley Davidson. Will Gunners do something similar to save Remington and Marlin?

Things are nog looking good for Freedom Group.

I do not see them going anywhere anytime soon.

All firearms companies are taking a dip in 2014 and on to 2015, because of artificial 2013 growth. Although all those going on, does not help them.

You can look at their financials: http://www.freedom-group.com/2013%2010-K.pdf Hope they saved some for a rainy day.
Bumpy roads ahead for all firearms company. I have no plans to buy anything FG makes any more, they do not need this minion's help.

              So business as usual.

At least they aren't Bushnelling* the companies they acquire.

The Remington line of ammunition, especially their shotgun birdshots, is highly regarded by clay target shooters. Even their economy line, Gun Club, uses hulls that can be safely reloaded. The Barnes line is also pretty well known, with that funky Varmint Grenade being pretty fun to shoot as you can explode smaller varmints like ground squirrels with it. So I would think their ammo business would do pretty ok for the time being.

The one thing I'm grateful for, is when Freedom Group closed the Bushmaster factory in Maine, it resulted in the creation of Windham Weaponry by the former employees of Bushmaster. They create very nice ARs at a good price point. I own a Windham Weaponry AR myself, a MPC CA, the build quality and exceptional. I only encountered 1 minor issue, the elevation knob on the carry handle was stuck and very difficult to turn, I sprayed some Ballistol and it freed up the knob. Other than that it is 100% reliable.

Windham is really good stuff. Their quality at that pricepoint is unmatched.

Freedom Group isn't going under. Like all large companies, they go through slow and rough times, and growing pains with regards to mergers, etc. They have lots of options for raising cash, besides sales, if needed. Those include issuing bonds, selling or discontinuing certain under performing brands, or even going public.
