Worth switching out BB for a Raddlock or something else?

I have to take my ar15 to the smith anyway, so I figured this would be a good time to look into this. Is this worth doing? Are there more options than the raddlock?

It takes but a minute or two to do yourself. Yes totally worth it.

Well if it's that easy then maybe I'll take some more time to look around.

i see no benefits of switching to raddlock. i say keep the BB u have already. like FoxTrot said, if u plan to go use your AR in a free state, it takes a minute or 2 to switch it out w/ the mag release button.

I was mostly looking at it from a cost perspective. I can find the raddlock for $40, but I can't find just a standard mag release. All I see is lowers for around $100.

I like having a radlock on my ARs. I like them and think they are worth the extra $$

OP, I like the Raddlock but removed them from my rifles for one simple reason.

It would only take ten seconds for a 'dirty' LEO with a penknife or small screwdriver to turn your legal Raddlock style bullet button into a felony button.

I had considered that the Radlock adds an unnecessary layer of complexity to one of the simplest pieces of the firearm, but never even thought of how it could be abused by an unscrupulous individual (California has not gotten to me yet, Lord preserve me until I get back to America).
I prefer the feel of the real magazine release when possible and it only takes a few seconds to unscrew the BB and screw on a proper magazine release.

Still yet to find a BB better than the Raddlock.

Do we have documentation of instances where this has happened?! Scary.

Maybe cops want your fancy, latest and great AR15 rifle for himself!

Let them. Then that officer will be fired and thrown in jail for fraud and tampering with evidence. One less criminal on the streets with a gun.

I have a radlock and don't like it all. Maybe I don't have it set right or something, but it's generally more difficult to get it to release a mag than a normal style bullet button type lock.

I had a raddlock, didnt care for it. I prefer the larger opening on the 'standard' Bullet Button. Takes 2 sec to switch it out for standard once out of state.
