Yes, just don't bring them through San Fran or Sunnyvale as they can be confiscated.

Yes. The only requirement is that they have been owned prior to 2000. There is no requirement for one to have been an adult at that time.

The law does permit seizure as a "Nuisance". That part is not FUD. It is specifically provided for in the statute. That legal provision does very much appear to be a drafting error in the law, but nonetheless, remains the law.
