Thinner grading stakes for target stands

Homedepot and lowes only has the thicker .562 grading stakes. I am looking for something thinner. I think about 5/16" thick. I only need one 3' long stake. Anywhere I can buy this locally? Socal. Thanks

Sorry OP, but I don't have a source other than ripping wood to size on your own. But, why such thin wood stakes? They'd probably break while pounding them in or if a stiff breeze catches your target stand... How about considering rebar (which is what I use that I scavenged from a construction dumpster).

Cause its not for target stands. Its for a re-purpose.

OK, then why does the title of your post read "Thinner grading stakes for target stands"?

Tough to get the right answer when you don't identify the right question......

But, I believe what you are looking for is sometimes called a grape stake or tomato stake. Try your local nursery or garden supply center......

Go to a real survey supply place instead of Home Depot or Lowes. You are looking for "lathe". It typically comes in 2', 3' and 4' lengths. A bundle of 50 4'ers used to be about $25 but, I don't know current prices.

edit: While places like Lewis and Lewis and MEI (Simi Valley) carry it, I just found out that White Cap does too.
