    Ammo collections/displays?

Over the last year or 2, Ive aquired a little "misc ammo" jar. I was thinking it would be cool to have a little display of different calibers.
I have to assume many other guys have done this. Something cool to have on a workbench to look at, compare, yadda yadda. Ive got about 20-25 different bits so far.

what have you done to display these while still being able to pick one up and check it out? Without them constantly falling over?
I was thinking maybe some sort of wax base? Sticky but not leaving residue

Dust becomes a real pain in the rear, as cleaning them, and around them, frequently, sucks.

      Air compressor!
This is just in my skanky garage. Not looking for anything pretty. Maybe like a miniature spice rack

Looking more for a hands-on, open reference display. Ability to grab a couple to look at. Some buddies and I always have a had a few oddball rounds on our benches to look at.
Just did a quick count. 25 different rounds. Excluding shotgun, HP, snakeshot, +P, ...variant stuff like that.

          What I got now:

I think an old gumball machine would hold them nicely.

I want to make this too, but the display must be able to give a hands on for feel with a naked bullet with each load, not behind glass. What good is a collection like that if you can't pick one up and hold it? I had thought drilling a board for the authentic round, then milling a channel or nest for a bullet to cradle in.

It reminds me of the first time as a kid shooting and holding an antique relvolver. I just remember saying how heavy it was, and my dad mentioned how people carried two and could draw from holster like lightning.

I like this! A standard drill bit wouldnt leave a flat botom to the hole though. I dont think I have/they make a paddle bit in 22 size. I'll try some stuff this weekend.

The rounds would still stand up, they would just stop at the drill point. Just make the hole .005 oversize the dia of each round and they stand fine.
