Rand Paul says Fauci should 'go to prison' over COVID-19 'dishonesty'
It's a sentiment Rand Paul has expressed before. However, it wasn't a 'mistake in judgment.' Fauci has acknowledged his initial... he called it a 'lie'... was when he attempted to save masks for healthcare workers by stating we peasants didn't need to wear them - before he was demanding we wear them. After that, it's been one obfuscation after another.
As I've said before, some of that might be dismissed as 'equivocation' due to 1.) Not having an answer when the public needed one and (2.) Wanting to appear as though he provided an answer when, in fact, he'd listed everything and/or every possible scenario. But, as Fauci has acknowledged and as has been established, there were outright lies as opposed to 'differences of opinion' or 'best guesses.' I can be, somewhat, 'forgiving' over the initial misleading of the public over masks in order to preserve what was, then, available for those most directly at risk of exposure. What I cannot 'forgive' or forget are the deliberate obfuscations, the deliberate misleading statements, the mix-mashed messaging, and the holier than thou pontifications from someone in his position.
I know Fauci is highly unlikely to see any ramifications, let alone prison time. Likewise, I don't believe we'll ever see the real 'truth' of what happened documented; at least not in our lifetimes, if ever. While I don't want the usual stuff that will make the authorities hesitate to act appropriately with the next, real problem, I would like to see some form of meaningful 'justice' come out of this whole debacle.
Of course, the next night I dreamed that California became a Constitutional Carry State, actual full auto weapons were made legal and affordable, the roster disappeared, Newsom and the Left's minions in this State were...
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said that the former U.S. chief medical adviser, Dr. Anthony Fauci, should "go to prison" over his "dishonesty" in handling the COVID-19 pandemic and lying to Congress.
"For his dishonesty, frankly, he should go to prison," Paul said during a Sunday interview with radio host John Catsimatidis on "The Cats Roundtable" on WABC 770 AM. "If you lie to Congress, and you're dishonest, and you won't accept responsibility. For his mistake in judgment, he should just be pilloried. He should never be accepted."
He added, "History should judge him as a deficient person who made one of the worst decisions in public health history - in the entire history of the world."...
