Yep, most of we older folks were exposed with no treatment/vaccine to the pandemics in '58, 68 and 76, plus all the newer stuff. I remember when the rushed swine flu vaccine in ~'76 was a total shyte show and they pulled it after only a few adverse nerve reactions. I believe that was the impetus for that vaccine act that put claims into a federal claims court in the 80's.

I expect 2024 to be a total shyte show. Wars, bio weapons, economic disasters, whatever it takes to win or suspend elections entirely and maintain and solidify the current power structure. So far it's working.

Ok, thanks for the reply. Wasn?t being adversarial, just thought since you are up on the topic you might have a good link you could provide.

No problem. I see most of these articles on news aggregator sites and sometimes they come and go pretty fast. It seems that some of the more controversial articles have a very short news cycle and disappear fast. Here is a recent update...

While I'm inclined to think that there will be a certain sensitivity to diseases, the media always carries things too far for me to place much faith in the reports. Why? First, a 'surge' in respiratory illnesses was expected and predicted after all the lockdowns. Second, as the one report linked in Post #21 states...

...Some fear that officials in China are covering up the early stages of an epidemic, however. The nation was largely criticized for its initial response to the discovery of COVID-19 almost exactly four years ago, and some have seen the current situation as an echo of the past.
China has become a boogeyman for a lot of things. While I don't dispute that there may be some justification, if we're going to upend the country every time something happens in China, this country will never be functional again.

Finally, the 'sensitivity' bit has gotten old in that virtually every known disease is now thrust into the headlines as a potential epidemic/pandemic. Typically, it is a mild case and either singular in occurrence or very limited in numbers. New strain? Often. But, given that diseases mutate, it's not all that surprising.

The bottom line is that, right now, the 'awareness' level of both the medical industry and the public is heightened, so we are cognizant of many things which happen naturally and are usually, largely ignored. If you're doing what you are supposed to on a 'normal' basis as opposed to what has been mandated/recommended over the last 3 or 4 years, your chances are probably about as good (or bad) as they were prior to COVID.

As I posted long ago, the greater concern should be what the public reaction will be to a truly new and dangerous contagion. Will it be dismissed as another 'scamdemic?' Will it be utilized, as COVID was, for nefarious machinations? Will it be properly addressed? Who knows?

But, setting aside actual conspiracy theories, it is a legitimate concern; particularly the longer the media plays out their version of PTSD.

                  Never again!

Although my whole family has had some kind of brutal way worse than normal cold since before Thanksgiving and it’s still not going away. Coughing up stuff like looks like fluorescent green kids play slime.

Still not worth any of vax or any of that other BS.
