ALAMEDA COUNTY -For workers in certain healthcare facilities in Alameda County, Nov. 1 is a day to take off their Halloween mask and put on a surgical mask.

Due to a wave of RSV, flu, and COVID-19 in the winter of 2022-23, and another expected wave this winter, the Alameda County Public Health Department is requiring workers in the following facilities to wear high-quality, well-fitting masks in patient care areas, regardless of vaccination status:

General acute care hospitals
Long-term acute care hospitals
Psychiatric hospitals
Skilled nursing facilities
Dialysis centers
Infusion centers

The new order is in effect until April 30, when health officials will re-evaluate virus data.

Plenty of science behind those masks, especially if there are kickbacks.

Note that they are requiring masks regardless of vaccination status. That means that they:

1) Know that if they require vaccination they might be held liable.
2) Have figured out that vaccines have been shown not to work.
3) No severe damage has been shown to wearing of masks so lawsuits will be less costly.

If it says 'wear a mask' - your idea won't happen... if TV ignores it, and dangles some other shiny thing, no one will pay attention to masks.

Its amazing to me there are still some random people I see with masks around here. Pretty much all fat white Karen looking broads. Always giving people the stink eye or shuffling away when people walk by. Covid broke their brains.

Yes, last year when Nick Moss instituted a mask mandate despite there being no other ones in the Bay Area because, you know...Covid bad. 3 weeks later it was rescinded, because, of course, Covid not as bad now.
