By precisely the same token, one could argue that nobody is "forced" to hand over hand over one's wallet to a mugger.

Whether one "chose" to not be canned by a tyrannical employer or "chose" to not be ventilated by a criminal, the difference is a matter of degree rather than principle.

I did not get the vaccine, and I did pay financial and emotional consequences. Many got the vax and they paid consequences too, morally if not physically. The point is that we shouldn't have been forced to make the decision in the first place. The villains are the tyrants, not the victims.

When I was getting my 2nd shot there was a lady that was getting her first, and she was nervous as all get out, deathly afraid of needles. She stated she was getting the shot because her employer said get the shot or get out. She was in the service industry and from our discussion her employment options were nil beyond the job she had and she needed the income to continue payments for medical insurance for her spouse.

Now all of that indicates a "forced" situation.

I was not forced. And it was a mistake to get the jab. I can point a finger at the powers that be stating I was mis-informed, but ultimately, for me, it was my choice. For lady (whom I helped in getting through the needle fear), I hope she did not encounter any ill effects, but if she did, it was not her willful choice.

I agree. I feel sorry for those who really had to make a tough choice between livelihood/losing their house or play Russian Rolette with clot-shot. We all gone through it and had to make similar decisions during lockdowns. When the jackbooted thugs came to many small business owners' doors to force them to close or face with punitive astronomical fines, how many took up arms to defend their rights? We all seen the pictures of MRAPs with potbellies tactical cool .gov enforcers in so called red states. To-date, when I go to plazas I used to frequent, many smaller stalls/shops are still empty or closed. Thinking about their fate, it enrages me so. The jab was no different.

The American society and its people have been breed to become as docile as sheep. Just because we have few guns, we think we are free-er than others. But in truth, the American ruling elites today enjoys a far more stable rule with more dictatorial power than just about any "enemy foreign" states we are told to hate. Let's not hate on each other. Direct our ire towards the real culprit, your local, state, and federal .gov and their enforcers.

Brutally honest, but dead on.

If anyone had a gun to your head or that of your wife or kid and said take this shot or we'll blow some brains out... THAT is forced. Saying you are going to lose your job or can't get on a plane or can't go to your favorite restaurant... or can't attend your friend's wedding and your wife will be pissed, that is not forced. Those choices fall squarely in the "tough decisions" category, and whatever you choose, own it.
