Once, November last year. I was pretty darn "flu like" for one night, pretty tough night. Then... like a minor flue for another day, then like a day of a cold.

All in all WAY less severe than some of the bouts I've had with the flue in the past, like a bucket by the bed and trips between the bucket and the toilet for a week with 5 nights of fever and bad dreams.

If one of those flu episodes ranked a 10, COVID ranked a 7 for about 36 hours max.

You cant have covid if you dont test for it.

But I was sick with the "flu" first week in February this year. Was out for ~3 days and by day 5 I could have went back to work. I did not regain my smell/taste for about 10-14 days.

Now it took my wife out for 3 weeks.

Never vaccinated, never caught it. I didn't buy into the hype, so I didn't go out of my way to avoid going out into public. Avoided wearing a mask whenever possible. Wife and daughter may have had it twice, but I never caught the bug.

Twice. First time was worse than any flu I've ever had. Second time was a two-week bad cold experience. Unfortunately, both episodes led to pneumonia, which was no fun at all. Not sure I could blame the pneumonia on C19, I've had it a couple of other times over the past few years pre-Covid.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

                  Don?t know, don?t care

Wife and I got really sick with flu in February of ?20. We were selling our home and trying to pack up, stage house, etc.

I still commuted for 14 months for work and had the mandatory weekly tests. Never tested positive, and never got sick again until December of last year. Really bad case of the flu. Was it Covid either time? Don?t know.

He said since 2020. I guess technically I had it in the very beginning of 2020 before it was all over TV so I'll give it to you. Once then. Happy now?

EDIT: I was thinking back and I had some mild something around the delta era so maybe two.

I think what they called the Monkeypox was the last iteration; prior it was loss of taste and smell without sinus issues/congestion that defined the difference. Most were without recent human contact.

I did notice an oddity with the monkeypox co-morbidity iteration; the cat got some sort of rash on her top hindquarters, all these bumps, and it was tender to her. During that period I had no close and prolonged contact with humans but did with the cat, as is normal for pet owners. Animal to human? IDK. In any event it ran its course.

Compared to the flu, particularly H3N2 back in the 60's, it was nothing. The societal destruction that hit at the personal level; night and day compared to H3N2.

Confirmed two times-first time was very bad, but not as bad to trigger to take kill-shot, second was about 36 hours of throat tickle.
