weird thing about my phone this morning

so around 10:00 am I grabbed my phone to send a text message to my friend - opened up my contacts app and there's like 200 names and numbers now in my contacts list

I had about 15 contacts in my contacts before this - no idea how all these other names and businesses got into my phone - I've done nothing with my phone, haven't installed anything new or anything I can think of

Is this something on my phone providers end, some glitch, or some type of hack?

Why'd someone hack a bunch of random names and businesses into my phone, might try a number or 2 to see if they're legit, really don't understand this at all

And the craziest thing ever... your post ended up in the Covid forum.

Somehow your phone contacts got switched to your google account vs. your phone contacts or something like that. Happened to me too.

The wuhan virus put the contacts there? Does your contact list contain people like Fauci and Maddow and Lemon?

The cloud can update your phone if you previously had anything there.

Wait - are you vaxxed or something?

              That could explain it all

This is probably the best route. Nuke it, just to be sure.

It could be gmail contacts, iCloud or suggested contacts from your text and email messages.

He said none of them were recognized.

I have had suggested contacts show up from what I consider spam emails. If they sit in you inbox or deleted folder long enough, their contact information will be harvested as a suggested contact.

I recently changed exchange servers and I got a bunch of suggested contacts from saved emails from more than 10 years ago. I had purged most work-related client contacts when I retired, and all of a sudden they are back. At first I didn?t even recognize a few that date back to the 1990s.

Plaxovid will cure this issue. Just be careful, people claim metallic after taste stays for while.
