Why is ANYONE still TESTING for covid? If you don't TEST, you will NEVER have covid!Comment
-
Thy logic is sound.
We have NEVER tested, NEVER vaxxed for covid.
Got sick a year or so ago, sick, not covid, not flu, cause no test taken.
3-4 days later all good, no lasting effects.
Not been sick since.
Stay healthy my friends. The opinions, content, images, memes, et. al. here within are meant entirely as satire and not to be taken by any leftist scum sucking commies as serious content of which they should waste their time with a response.

I posted in this section quite a bit in 2020 and 2021. I would say the pandemic is officially over. Friend who runs the night shift at the local hospital said they had a decent number of covid patients over the winter but most were in and out in 24 to 48 hrs. Now that we've made it through winter, it will probably fade into the background.
Lessons learned?
1. Lockdowns were probably a mistake. Maybe giving hospitals March/Early April time to gear up was worth it, but the lockdowns are probably the cause of all the excess deaths we saw in 2022 because of a lack of regular screening for other diseases.
2. I'm more neutral on the vaccines and once Omicron came to be there wasn't much point after that. I had the initial doses of Astra Zenica but never took any boosters once Delta went extinct.
3. I do not really understand mask culture in 2023 (or 2022, or 2021 even).Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!
The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)Comment

i'm not too sure about lockdowns, if done early and able to isolate, then it would at least slow the spread of the initial outbreak and allow the medical industry time to prepare and build support infrastructure. i think it's safe to say china's quarantine efforts were for show, or at the very least more about control than effectiveness, and they most likely intended for it to spread to the us.
once it went international, then i agree, the lockdown has obviously failed at that pointComment

The lock downs were criminal, unconstitutional, tyrannical, and definitely a mistake.
Twoweeks or two years, still a BIG mistake.
No other time in our history did we sacrifice our youth, and future stability to supposedly save our elderly, it is supposed to be the other way around.
What do you mean neutral on the vaccines?
Does that include neutral on the vaccine mandates, or just the vax in general? The opinions, content, images, memes, et. al. here within are meant entirely as satire and not to be taken by any leftist scum sucking commies as serious content of which they should waste their time with a response.

I was honestly surprised yesterday when I had to go into Kaiser to pick up some medication and saw that masks are not required indoors at their facilities anymore.sigpicComment

That really surprises me as well. I was doing contract work for Kaiser and it got to the point where if I wasn't vaccinated they wouldn't even allow me to set foot on their property Is, masked or not.
Naturally, I moved on and found something else to do for a different client.Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

New coronavirus subvariant Arcturus is now in L.A. Is there reason to worry?
These fookers will never let it die.?When we hear messages that 'The pandemic's over,' or that 'COVID-19 is now endemic,' it gives the impression that people no longer need to be aware of its impact or take any steps to protect themselves and others," L.A. County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said at a briefing Thursday. "Just the fact that we're seeing new strains with possible different symptoms should remind us that COVID continues to evolve."Thermidorian Reaction . . I don't think the mandates were ethical or legal. As to my use of 'probably' its just the way I write and speak. I always factor in the chances of my opinion being wrong and I never deal in absolutes.Way to commit to your own opinion.

Because it is our 'patriotic duty' to fight 'misinformation' like was suggested in 2021...
That's all we're doing here... Discussing what happened....But while COVID has been a tough adversary, we've shown that we're tougher - tougher because we have the power of science and vaccines that prevent illness and save lives, and tougher because of our resolve...
The answer is straightforward: If you are not fully vaccinated, you have good reason to be concerned. You're at a high risk of getting sick. And if you get sick, you're likely to spread it to others, including friends and family. And the unvaccinated have a significantly higher risk of ending up in a hospital or even dying.
Almost everyone who has died from COVID-19 in the past many months has been unvaccinated. Unvaccinated...
Wearing a mask provides extra protection for you and those around you. And I know some Americans are wondering if you can safely celebrate the holidays with your family and friends.
The answer is yes, you can, if you and those you celebrate with are vaccinated, particularly if you've gotten your booster shot...
All these people who have not been vaccinated, you have an obligation to yourselves, to your family, and, quite frankly - I know I'll get criticized for this - to your country.
Get vaccinated now. It's free. It's convenient. I promise you, it saves lives. And I, honest to God, believe it's your patriotic duty...
Let me be clear: Thanks to the prior administration and our scientific community, America is one of the first countries to get the vaccine. And thanks to my administration and the hard work of Americans, we led a rollout that made America among the world leaders in getting shots in arms.
But uptake slowed this summer as vaccine resistance among some hardened. Look, the unvaccinated are responsible for their own choices. But those choices have been fueled by dangerous misinformation on cable TV and social media.
You know, these companies and personalities are making money by peddling lies and allowing misinformation that can kill their own customers and their own supporters.
It's wrong, it's immoral, and I call on the purveyors of these lies and misinformation to stop it. Stop it now...
And so, look, I'm not - I'm not looking for - let me say something: You saw what happened yesterday. All the talk about how my Build Back Better plan was going to increase inflation, was going to cause these debts and all the like - what happened?...
