Besides more conflicts and close calls, there's more of this getting recorded out there...

In this case, the captain passed out and a passenger ended up assisting landing the plane.

Fortunately, there is a lot of redundancy and safety in depth built into the system.

ETA, for clarity, the 'passenger' was an off-duty ATP pilot replying 'six zero one three' and the co-pilot reported the captain complaining of 'stomach pains' before passing out. Haven't seen an after action report and we likely won't. Employee privacy and all that.

LOL. That is the gift that keeps on giving. He'll never show his face around here, his ego and hubris won't allow it. It's gotta be killing him that he is a virtual kick ball in perpetuity.

I asked my good friend and my flight instructor, says this is BS. He has 20000 hours and is a professional airline pilot. He knows of no pilots who have had medical issues.

As for robot airlines, they are already here. Foreign Asian pilots are notorious for being incapable of talking off and landing without computer assistance. Basically, they do not know how to fly safely.

Real stick and rudder pilots are not as common as they once were.

So the one up above in post 16 is made up?

The unvaxed will be in demand for jobs that require safety such as pilots. They'll be offering training and moving costs to get pilots who won't drop dead on the flight deck. Won't effect train engineers because when they die their foot will come off the dead pedal and the train will stop. Buses will be allowed to crash - death toll will just be listed as driver error. The won't tell you the error was getting the vax.

Anyone who follows this forum knows my thoughts on the Covid insanity.

I believe it is happening. It is a question of how much.

My pilot friend personally knows nobody who was vax injured enough to lose their flight privileges. I have asked him and sent him these weblinks.

There is a pilot shortage. That is mostly about retirements according to him. It is very easy to get a job as a pilot for qualified people.

Sounds like the FAA markedly increasing the range of one parameter of heart health, from .12 to .2 to .12 to .3, in its medical requirements last October should get those shortage slots filled quick. That's a pretty big change. I guess it doesn't help when students are killing each other in mid-airs like that one in Florida on March 7.

Perhaps ask the experienced pilot how long that requirement has been in place in its pre-October 2022 form and how it impacted medical exams. The narrative is that it was relaxed after 'extensive consultation with cardiac experts'.

Just like in the corporate world in general, people who speak out against the Covid narrative get cancelled, fired, shunned, prosecuted, persecuted, and have since essentially the beginning. No pilot wanting to keep his or her job or be hired in the future is going to go on the record, even tangentially or casually, questioning the prevailing narrative, FAA rules or company policies. Career suicide. That's what the orchestrators of the operation counted on when setting it up. We've had over two years of examples to glean from now. It's not speculation. Brilliant brainsmithing. Epic actually. Einstein would be impressed.

It's over now. We can all move on. That's their narrative. Everything else will be done quietly, like that change in the medical parameter. What else have they changed?

biggest obstacle to accountability for people like fauci are the public who will willingly or be coerced by groupthink media giants into a forgive and forget mentality. the excuse will be "we didn't know at the time, now we have new data, that's how science works!" conveniently ignoring the fact that there was zero data about the vaccine when they mandated it for man woman and child.

It?s not just pilots. There is a shortage of qualified mechanics as a result of the vaccine mandate and vaccine injured. But who needs a bunch of grease monkeys anyway.

Not sure why, but I've been recently watching a handful of videos on the Mayday Air YT channel. One of the disasters was caused by a mechanic that didn't properly close one of the hatches(?). Talk about a stressful career.

Those who follow ATC have noticed/commented on more 'deviations' resulting in RA's (resolution advisory) or other conflicts. Fortunately the system is robust enough to absorb some errors before things get dicey.

Before Covid I can't ever recall hearing a controller go down live on channel but have heard a few since. I think one that made the news was the female controller in Vegas.

Challenging times out there for the aviation industry and many others less well known. We'll likely never know the true extent of the damage, not in my lifetime anyway.

The Bidet administration is trying to force airlines to reduce flights by 10%. This will help coverup pilot shortages under the guise of reducing greenhouse gases.
