The CDC analysis shows that the number of serious adverse events reported in less than two years for mRNA COVID-19 vaccines is 5.5 times larger than all serious reports for vaccines given to adults in the US since 2009 (~73,000 vs. ~13,000).

Twice as many mRNA COVID-19 vaccine reports were classified as serious compared to all other vaccines given to adults (11% vs. 5.5%). This meets the CDC definition of a safety signal.

As for "behind the scenes" that's hard for me to say. I'm independent, so I mostly interact with my partners. They have bought into the "it's a horribly dangerous disease and the vaccines are completely safe and effective", but that's anecdotal.

Among specialists I know, especially cardiologists, there is a LOT of concern.

The VAERS was exposed as a channel of disinformation/misinformation for the CDC way back when they were caught falsifying the data.

There has been no restoration to legitimacy nor could there ever be.

There was one fellow that went by the name of Bigmike82, that swore the numbers were correct, and aggressively attacked anyone that questioned it as a loon and conspiracy theorist.

He gone.

Then there was another fellow that claimed to be a Subject Matter Expert, and he supported his position with walls of text, insulting those that had a different opinion with condescending dismissal. He swore by VAERS, it was his bible. Was going to get his children vaccinated with the poison, and derided anyone who expressed that it was a bad idea.

He gone, too.

Only now he is a Subject Matter Expert on Ukraine, and continues to pontificate with his walls of text and superfluous hyperlink. He seems to have found a nice home, and to have collected the adoring sycophants he so desperately craved.
