More importantly, is she one of those 'if you aren't vaxxed I'm not interested' types?...

I think she got the first one, but then wisened up. Definitely not a "get away unvaxed baby killer!".
I wouldn't refer to her as "wife material" if she was one of those. Not by a long shot.

I've been trying to talk her (and Mrs. 2111) into giving Mormon a shot for like the last 10 years, but both of them just roll their eyes at me.

She is all that and a bag of chips. Mrs. 2111's other friends... well... their great and all, but Hot friend is definitely the pick of the "available ladies" litter.
Whenever we have to go into San Jose for stuff, we usually stay at her house since she's got a proper guest room, and then the women can stay up late gabbing away and watching "Lifetime Holiday Specials".

What a rewarding thread! And in the C19 forum of all places Thanks for posting the 'hot friend' pic My wife has some great friends too and my male mind always wonders what might happen in some parallel universe!

Anyway.... back to covid. My entire family has had it twice now. Sounds about the same - somewhat like the flu at first, followed by a surprisingly long period of "brain fog" and fatigue. Should wear off in a few weeks.

Not much to be done about it. I've always tried to live a normal life even during the big panic from a couple years ago. If I get a little sick, so be it.

Had COVID right before Christmas. My second go around. Symptoms were very flu-like this time. Headache, sore throat, chills, fever. First time had none of that except mild fever and loss of taste and smell. I got on the 5day Paxlovid meds and felt much better after the first day. After day 2 I felt near normal. It's been a week now and I feel great. No brain fog. That stuff is for real, highly recommend it.
There is no week nor day nor hour, when tyranny may not enter upon this country, if the people lose their supreme confidence in themselves -- and lose their roughness and spirit of defiance -- Tyranny may always enter -- there is no charm, no bar against it -- the only bar against it is a large resolute breed of men.

Oddly... I've been symptom free for like a week or more, except for one thing: The dumbs are still in full force.

It literally took me 4 tries with pen and paper to multiply 27 with 1.5. I couldn't believe it. Today is my first day back at work... and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to write a single line of code that works.
