They tried that where I work in Alameda County earlier this year. I was happy to see it widely ignored. Yeah there's a large minority of people who wear their mask while even driving here, but when the mask mandate came back no more people were wearing it than before.

The county dropped it again a couple weeks later rather than admit their power is fading.

I was just there last week and no one said anything to me, but a lot of folks were wearing masks.
