There was like a week where I actually considered it, I credit the folks here with having a BIG influence on me not doing it. I had the 'vid and survived just fine without it... I think. I just knew I could not UN-vax and damn if something my dad always told me didn't keep ringing in my ears... "Beware the hard-sell, it's never in your best interest."

But the people in the coronavirus forum are "crackpots".

And this is the crux MJB, one has to consider all the possibilities and come to the conclusion that they do. "Beware the hard-sell..."

Given the entire rest of the world now considers "vaccinated" means you got boosted within the last 6 months... and if you have NOT, you are "unvaccinated"...

Then I would say the "conclusion" the media (fox or not) is trying to make you reach is that you need to be "up to date", so get more shots. now. NOW! (actually the article said 'they' want to shoot up as many ppl as possible in the next 6 weeks.

Sounds like a get-out-the shot campaign to me.

Although if I just read the headline and tagline, I'd come to a very different conclusion.

I'd really like to see a different statistic.

I want to see deaths of "up to date" people (who by WW standards are 'vaccinated'), compared to the rest of us who are unvax, vax but not boosted, or boosted but >6months ago. All lumped into the category of "unvaxxed" by the WW standard.

And I want that info listed by % of ppl in each category, because the vast majority of people will fall into the 'unvax' category by the standard, so the total deaths will of course be higher.

If they show "up to daters" dying more, then you got something. Like for example, a reason to recommend to the general public to NOT get boosted (which some countries are now recommending, but reasoning is thin compared to the reports that they are doing it...)

There were a few times when I thought I would *have* to get the shot. When the first order from the WH went out that it was mandatory and then again when the requirement for private businesses were requiring it. Although I worked from home 100%, I was worried that if they put the mandate on all employees, then my choice would be to get the shot or not work. Fortunately, my employer never went down that route (only for those in office).

It was super stressful and like you, I credit all of the right-wing, white supremacist, vax deniers, science deniers on this board for helping me to see the other side of the coin-complete with videos and studies from doctors to help me make MY OWN informed decision. It also helped that one of my co-workers' husband landed in ER because of myocarditis soon after his Moderna shot in 2021.

If I was guessing, I would guess that many people with multiple comorbidities got vaccinated. It just didn't "work" for them so they were screwed with or without the jab.
