This is a great article from a respected source. It is highly technical, as you would expect a serious research paper to be, but an average medically-inclined lay person can take away enough to discern that HCQ can positively impact Covid-19 recovery.

If you cannot obtain it via traditional US channels there are ways of sourcing it internationally. This can take weeks though. If you think you might use it, best to order well before one becomes ill.

The article also mentions the antibiotics azithromycin & erythromycin as having a similar effect.

There was a study months ago that cited an extract from dandelion greens showing a blocking effect on the same cellular receptor that the virus exploits to enter the cell. Dandelion has been used as an herbal tonic for centuries, so far back it is lost in the mists of history. The only thing MORE safe would have to be pure distilled water. Dried chopped dandelion greens are available in bulk online. The tea smells like dried lawn clippings naturally and has a taste very few people would enjoy for the flavor, but then you aren't drinking it for enjoyment. I've used it a good bit over the past 2 years when going to or returning from exposure-prone areas, and especially when I had a "cold" this past spring. For which HCQ was also employed along with zinc, IVM and other therapeutic strategies. The "cold" lasted all of 2 days and I've NEVER had a cold just 2 days.

With dandelion, the same caution does apply as for any supplement, if you have any kind of special health condition or prescription meds... either talk to your doctor or satisfy yourself that any concerns are adequately addressed.
