That is the set-up for mandating a whole new series of shots designed around the new variant, which will subsequently become obsolete the following year.

Don't be fooled into thinking they will just shrug and give up while there are still arms to be pumped full of their crap.

The CDC didn't say that the vaccines didn't work, rather that they aren't hugely effective against the current circulating Covid 19 virus variants. This outcome was entirely predictable. I'm not all that worried about most of the current variants because they've become quite mild overall. I see quite a few people being admitted to hospitals with Covid instead of because of it. Overall though, hospital admissions of Covid positive people are way down from the Delta surge a year ago. On top of that, because the symptoms are either extremely mild or non-existent, there's a lot of people that have it and don't know it. I know I've been repeatedly been exposed and I'd be quite surprised if I hadn't caught one of the Omicron variants at some point recently.

This will be just like the annual "Flu shot" which is also ineffective but nonetheless is a huge cash cow. I'm sure many places will have a mandate.
