To clarify, I didn't purposely limit contact, rather noted the results of normal activity in current life; I see no reason to be around other humans; life has taught those lessons and my family and most of my friends are dead; Covid and cancer took a bunch of the latter out since 2020.

Like yourself, when I was out I wore no mask, with two exceptions, once at my local grocery store and once at my local bank because they were required for entry at the time, early 2020, and before my first incidence in March 2020.

IMO, some people apparently are genetically wired for this virus; some are not. Compared to H3N2 in '68 I breezed through this. Other people apparently did not. I imagine the same occurred in '68 too. Still, the country wasn't shut down for the Hong Kong flu or any other flu or virus since that I know of. It was the rest of the operation and incursions on our freedoms and rights that bears scrutiny and criticism and adverse action if it comes to that.

I was given swine flu in college in 2009. It was the worst sickness I’ve ever had long story not gonna go into the whole thing. But I am 100% convinced that they are nearly identical and I am immune because of it same goes for my children as I passed that immunity to them.

The sickness part of it was bad but the coughing tore my throat and lungs which allowed bacteria to enter and create a whole new sickness that only antibiotics, prednisone, and zinc fixed. Three doctors six weeks of coughing and in the end my free college doctor said yeah it’s going around here take these three things you’ll be fine in a few days. I was fine in a few days.

What would they not prescribe for Covid? Antibiotics to fight off the infection, zinc to reduce lung swelling, and steroids to strengthen you. The real sicknesses are ALWAYS caused from the weakened immune system I.e.: coughing that created micro tears in the throat and lungs that filled with deadly bacteria you can’t fight off anymore.

Viruses never kill because if they do they cannot spread. Secondary sicknesses associated with weakened immune systems do the killing.

This was all intentional.

I consider the flu shot to be a generally bad idea for most people. Especially if you are young and healthy I won't recommend you get it.

They have some population studies that show that if everyone gets the flu shot there is a lower absentee rate for work and some other statistics that I really don't think are all that good for a variety of reasons.

Once you hit about 65 y/o my tune changes a bit and I think there is probably some marginal benefit. But even then they do it wrong. That flu shot isn't good for all that long (if it is good at all) and they start pushing it in August and September which I think is awful timing.

If you are going to get the flu shot, early October makes more sense to me in this area - maybe in November.

This last flu season was another in which flu just wasn't that big a deal. Until May. We were seeing people hospitalized in May of this year for the flu - not for Covid-19.

May is not part of flu season so it was very anomalous IMHO. But in any case the flu shot was really not doing any good in May of this year.

There has been some evidence in the past that getting the flu may give you at least limited immunity to that variant (or similar variants) in the long-term. Since the flu shot each year is at best an educated guess as to which variants we'll get, that means that if the flu shot is pretty effective and you don't get the flu and thus don't build up immunity over the decades - then when you are elderly you are a sitting duck if the flu shot that year has guessed wrong as to what variants would be in circulation.

Young and healthy? I'd not get the flu shot if not required to get it.

It’s real easy. Titration tests for antibodies do not even show which specific virus you had. This is bloodwork. The nasal swab tests absolutely do not identify which specific coronavirus you have. They are the equivalent of urine drug tests.

None of this was ever backed by any real broad consensus of virologists. Just the NIH/WHO/UN “scientists.” And then the TV’s shoved that bull**** in everyone’s ears for 2 years. Now everyone is a scientist.

Mostly agree with you on this one. The tests really are not very good.

To go just a little bit further? When you do testing for antibodies the results are generally not clinically benefit. They may be able to show that you have either been infected or had the vaccine. They don't really show if you have useful immunity since the typically aren't testing for neutralizing antibodies - and that is one of the problems with some of the pronouncements.

You can develop vaccines and you can show that you have antibodies as a result of the vaccination (if you can ensure that they didn't actually contract the infectious agent and develop antibodies as a result of that). So with Covid-19 you have to do big studies with lots of people and come up with good statistics showing a decrease in disease burden between those who are vaccinated and those who are not.

Good luck with that going forward even if you believe the early studies. . .

There have been so many people who have gotten asymptomatic and/or symptomatic Covid-19 that it is going to be darned near impossible to sort out variants, vaccinations, immunity due to infection, etc. And those who have not had Covid-19, those who have had Covid-19, and those who have been vaccinated are different subgroups which I don't think can be properly compared or contrasted.

IOW, I am not at all convinced that a new Covid-19 vaccine can be properly tested in such a way as to show great evidence that it is effective at reducing disease burden. Even if it is effective I'm not at all convinced you can show it.

It's all a statistical mess.

Take myself as an example. I really may have had Covid-19 back in December 2019 and several times since then which means I likely have infection-induced immunities to several variants. I have had three mandated vaccinations. How the heck are you going to categorize me for a study of a new variant of the vaccine?

OK, OK, we exclude individuals from studies all the time. But that won't work because I'm closer to the typical than I am to the exception. And throw in all the tens (or maybe hundreds) of millions in the USA who have had asymptomatic Covid-19? Good luck doing a good study.

It’s really not a statistical mess. It’s just a fabricated statistics. You ignore it all and carry about your life. They want our tax dollars for pet projects labeled billet trains or infrastructure, to funnel to their green initiatives.

The real conspiracy isn’t that covid is the flu. That’s actually just common sense these days. It needs to be. The real conspiracy is this was all done to get you to buy an extremely overpriced electric car and solar panels.
