15% of Kids at Grandaughter's school positive??

My graddaughters Poway elementary school has reported a big uptick in covid cases. The principal had all kids PCR tested on Monday "to be safe" since a parents' school night is scheduled for this Friday. The results are 12% of the kids tested positive??? In total, more than 15% of the school has now tested positive over the past 7 days. They asked that masks go back on, and grandparents and other guests besides parents are now not allowed at the function???

There are 4 kids including my granddaughter who tested positive in her class of 24. She is feeling fine. Her best friend (also positive) is feeling fine. Everyone did a rapid at home after the postive PCRs, and they are all negative. I offer to drive all the kids down to the airport for a quick PCR. 2 parents take me up on it, so I drive a boy and girl along with my granddaughter down for testing....plus me and the wife to boot. EVERYONE PCR TESTS NEGATIVE! BUT THEY STILL CAN'T GO BACK TO SCHOOL??? Will miss the parent night! Their numbers are going towards the county and state totals which indicate a surge in cases?

WTF is going on? This poor little girl will sit home the rest of the week. Then they'll all be masking up (requested, not demanded by the school) for the next two weeks at least. Why won't they let this end?

Testing positive doesn't mean sick. It just means the machine was triggered by something. It could be anything, including random malfunction. Don't tell me the "test" is 100% reliable. Nothing is 100% reliable.

Letting this end would be an admission the earlier insanity of forced lockdowns and mandatory experimental vaccination was never the correct approach. This ends when both of those are widely acknowledged to be failures and frauds.

It sounds like the PCR test is using too many cycles. In the beginning of this they were using around 30 cycles of replication. That is way to many for reliable test results.

They were supposed to reduce the cycles. That will reduce false positives. Coincidentally the testing procedure was supposed to be amended a couple of weeks after Biden's inauguration.

Covid swept through my kids' school a couple of months ago. Most of the parents were smart enough to hide that the kids were infected. IF they did not the school would have been closed. A few were screaming karens and they caused problems. The truth is that it is not dangerous or debilitating to healthy young people. It did come home and infect me and the wife. We got sick, then got better, no big deal. The actual danger is of covid is hysteria.

So glad schools here don’t require sick kids to get tested.
If sick, stay home till better.
            No quarantines, no closed schools.
Also, not massive quantities of sick kids either.

Wtf is the point of these test other then to keep us in a state of emergency. Just stay home if you dont feel good if everyone feels fine just operate like normal. If you are scared then stay home!

I see running out and taking that "vaccine" is still working out great for you.

As far as I am aware, none of the "sick" kids who are being kept at home for 10 days for testing positive feels "sick". They're all fine, and none have spread it to anyone

OMG Yes! If I hadn't taken my J&J shot, my life would have been so much worse. My blood pressure is consistently up 15 points. My wife blames our more sedentary lifestyle since lockdown, but those to causes are almost one in the same.

my kids are at the middle and high school in Poway. Every few days I get a "your child has had a close contact" email, but I ignore them. No mention of testing or any changes. My son was actually sick last month and we kept him home a few days but did a home antigen test, negative, so he was back in class monday. School was fine with that.

My daughter gets those emails for her daughter too, but the "close contacts" always happened a week or so prior. That's too f'n late to make any difference. Why bother?
