We might still have some free tests kaiser sent out awhile back. Hoping someone knew if any of the tests were positive biased.

Anyway, we have skipped other family events when restrictions were requested for unvaccinated only. This event is treating everyone the same.

The rapid antigen tests are more likely to produce false negatives. PCR tests will trigger positive even when you're non-contagious because it'll pick up dead virus particles.

If the objective is to get out of having to attend, fake a cough and some sniffles, and say you're feeling lightheaded and have a sore throat. With the latest B.2.12.1 variant, these are the primary symptoms. Even if your antigen test comes back negative, if you have these symptoms you are a presumptive case that can only be cleared with a PCR test. This usually takes a few days to process, so if you "developed" these symptoms a day or two before the wedding, you'll have "no choice" but to not attend. Afterall, it's for the health and safety for everyone else attending, amiright?
