Money. My company has Billions to spend, I must weight how much I can stand to lose. If the case involves Government then it's even worse. They create money from thin air and will never run out.
If I get fired then I'll lawyer up. If I'm "laid off" due to covid they'll probably offer 6 months severance - but to get the money I'll need to agree not to sue.Comment

Plus... Hate to break it to the OP but most attorneys talk a good game when you are trying to hire them and they are happy to cash your checks but unless you have someone with a track record of winning these cases you are gambling with your time and money. They are not all created equal.

Even if I had the money, which I don't, I ain't got that much time left on this old globe. It takes a lot of money, a bank of attorneys, and years.
Just look how long firearm cases take or any law suit for that matter.
