Hoping they drop it. Case numbers are so low and the number of kids effected is practically a statistical error. LA County with 2 million kids had 8 deaths since the beginning of time. And I suspect all had underlying conditions or died "with' not "from"

A red wave Nov 8 may help CA schools in the future. But, I’m not convinced Dems want vax mandates to end now.
We’ll see in the next 4 months.

That's my fear. We may have to leave before it's settled

Especially since kids are at lower risk from the virus and much higher risk of adverse vaccine reactions. Logic dictates that kids have MORE exemptions, yet the laws grant them fewer.

I WILL leave if the state passes this law. Young children, and especially young males, are at high risk of serious vaccine related injury and extremely low risk of virus related injury. It is asinine to mandate vaccination, especially of young males.

A parent's duty is to protect their child. This IS the hill I will die upon, even if that means merely moving out of CA and taking my taxes and my medical services with me.

Someone is gonna lose it on a school board one of these days.

Sure glad all my whelps are grown.

My whole family has been exposed to Omicron AB2 this week. It is spreading like wildfire. The youngest had no symptoms, the teenager felt off for one day, wife is still slightly sick, I was over the worst of it in 3-days. This is not Anthrax, Small Pox, or Cholera. It is a relatively mild cold. Anyone who conflates into the reaper is a liar.

Now that we have all had it, we have robust long lasting immunity. Taking vax shots accomplishes nothing for protection against covid for us. Now a school is going to requires my kid get vaccinated?? Really? Four boys at their school got myocarditis this year already. The list of reported adverse reaction is the longest in history. Only a small percentage is reported, doctors are discouraged from reporting.

Risk=significant, reward=zero. Is there an opt out for natural immunity, no.

This is the line in the sand. When somebody puts my kids at risk for no reason we will have a very serious problem.

I asked her "Since you had it 3 times and had the vaccine doesn't that raise any questions for you?" She said yeah but she was still going to get the booster. I didn't want to get into it with her too much but made a comment how the kids don't need the shot because they are not effected by Covid, she didn't disagree and we left it at that.
It's best to leave it at that. Even supposedly smart and well-trained medical personnel seem to have a blind spot for this virus and the vaccine. I sent identical text messages containing the CDC's own information from their site when they approved the vaccine for kids to our three best cardiologists and my sons' pediatrician.

The pediatrician responded back with articles from UCSF stating how dangerous the virus was even for kids and how amazingly safe the vaccine was, and how myocarditis is "typically mild and self-limited".

All three cardiologists responded back with dread and shock over the rates of myocarditis with the vaccine (especially considering it was anywhere from 2-20 times the rate from the virus itself, varying by age). I heard "scary" and "I really don't want to see what's coming in the next 5 to 10 years".

Myocarditis doesn't typically kill outright. Even if it's severe enough to get diagnosed at the time, patients usually seem to recover unless it is the rare fulminant type. How myocarditis kills is by leaving islands of dead tissue that can set up re-entry arrhythmias. It is very similar to how a heart attack sets up the same sorts of arrhythmias in the "border zone"-the area between outright dead heart (that cannot have electrical impulses) and the normal myocardium that is protected against such events.

I've had several patients who died from suspected V Tach with autopsies suggesting that they had "recovered" from myocarditis in the past. Neither patient was ever diagnosed with myocarditis at the time because the infection was subclinical-yet still enough to be the likely cause of their fatal arrhythmia months/years later.

That last I heard my own son's high school has admitted to at least two students with myocarditis. Prior to these two cases, their last known case was about a decade ago. Sure, it could all just be a strange, statistical coincidence, but I warned the Principal when the vaccine mandates were first being floated in school aged kids that by the CDC's numbers his school could expect to have about 2 to 4 cases.
