I know there are some who think "covid is over" and "You're a fool if you believe covid is still a thing." You're not wrong - but 60% of the country still believes every word from Fauci's mouth and the CDC/FDA are still busy crafting government-sponsored lies.
Alas, my own employer has doubled down:
- All employees must be vaxxed (Manager discretion allowed: You may be unvaxxed if you're considered 100% remote)
- ONLY 'fully vaxxed' employees may access company buildings
- All employees soon to be forced back into the office at least part time
- All visitors must show a vaccine card
- If no vax, your employee badge is deactivated
- There is no testing option. Only the Vax is acceptable.
- No travel or any face-to-face meetings for the Unvaxxed. At all.
- If a person knowingly goes into the office while covid-19 positive they will be terminated
- All 3rd party Vendors and Contractors must also be 100% Vaxxed
- Vaccination status disclosure is mandatory
- If you choose not to disclose, you are considered Unvaccinated
In practical terms this means I'll continue WFH while everyone else goes back to normal. I'm ok with this, but it's clear segregation. The Vaxxed don't believe their Vax actually works
Mind-boggling exceptions:
- The Vaxxed are considered 100% incapable of carrying or spreading the virus
- No masking, no distancing, no restrictions
- There are exceptions to the 100% Vaxxed Rule: Essential workers. People who worked in buildings during the pandemic (eg. IT Guys)
- Booster shots not required.
- HIPAA means nothing
- No opt-out clause, no religious or medical reason
- Considered Dangerous: Covid19, Turberculosis, Ebola (will get terminated if you expose others knowingly)
- Not Considered Dangerous: Flu, HIV (no issues)
