    My vaccine mandate restrictions just got worse [Canceled!]

    Edit 6/2/22, supposedly all restrictions to be lifted, everyone back to work by end of June

    I know there are some who think "covid is over" and "You're a fool if you believe covid is still a thing." You're not wrong - but 60% of the country still believes every word from Fauci's mouth and the CDC/FDA are still busy crafting government-sponsored lies.

    Alas, my own employer has doubled down:
    - All employees must be vaxxed (Manager discretion allowed: You may be unvaxxed if you're considered 100% remote)
    - ONLY 'fully vaxxed' employees may access company buildings
    - All employees soon to be forced back into the office at least part time
    - All visitors must show a vaccine card
    - If no vax, your employee badge is deactivated
    - There is no testing option. Only the Vax is acceptable.
    - No travel or any face-to-face meetings for the Unvaxxed. At all.
    - If a person knowingly goes into the office while covid-19 positive they will be terminated
    - All 3rd party Vendors and Contractors must also be 100% Vaxxed
    - Vaccination status disclosure is mandatory
    - If you choose not to disclose, you are considered Unvaccinated

    In practical terms this means I'll continue WFH while everyone else goes back to normal. I'm ok with this, but it's clear segregation. The Vaxxed don't believe their Vax actually works

    Mind-boggling exceptions:
    - The Vaxxed are considered 100% incapable of carrying or spreading the virus
    - No masking, no distancing, no restrictions
    - There are exceptions to the 100% Vaxxed Rule: Essential workers. People who worked in buildings during the pandemic (eg. IT Guys)
    - Booster shots not required.
    - HIPAA means nothing
    - No opt-out clause, no religious or medical reason
    - Considered Dangerous: Covid19, Turberculosis, Ebola (will get terminated if you expose others knowingly)
    - Not Considered Dangerous: Flu, HIV (no issues)

      I'm in high tech. The other options are likely even worse (FB/Meta, Amazon, Intel, YT, Google...)

      The best I can hope for elsewhere is a 100% remote position. It's essentially what I have now.

        Is this an American owned company? That sounds pretty crazy. They went full commie.

        If you want an entry level programming job my company might be hiring. I don't know what it pays or anything. I would imagine not much as its entry level. Also requires a proficiency in profanity. Wouldn't be a remote job for the most part. Have to come in and eat fajitas and talk about guns sometimes. We don't do any covid stuff here except whatever the very bare minimum is from the government. Basically whatever keeps the lawyers away.

          You should join the Blind app. Lots of tech vaxx and going back in to the office stuff. Can see what other companies are mandating

          It's anonymous so you see people's real opinions.

              Sounds perfect for my kid when he gets out of college in a year. Texas is a plus!!

                    Oh but it's not a 'Mandate.' They won't fire you for being Unvaxxed. It's just "strongly encouraged."

                      Sorry man. I left CA in 2020 for Idaho and knew that my tech job would be done with return to office. My last day is 3/31. Other companies are hiring like crazy. Do not be afraid to go somewhere else more sane. Esp in Texas! I work for one of the companies you mentioned and their policy in TX is actually no where as bad as CA. The absurd part is that they also still require proof of vax or religious exemption to access the office, but there are zero test/vax papers/etc requirements for visitors, biz meetings, etc. Good luck man.                           Wow, unbelievable that your employer is still pushing this scam. Fortunately my employer never got as far as making us get shots but they've completely dropped everything else.
                          Just know that there are doctors in Mexico that can provide the shots. You know?$$ 🤔
