Remember those pop-up covid hospital in China?

The thought crossed my mind on what happened with the two covid hospitals that were built like in 30 days or something.

Turns out they closed them 2 months later.

Like our covid hospitals, it was all theater.

They keep telling us out hospitals are being "overrun" by the unvaccinated, or in danger of? What the heck happened to the USS Mercy and USS Comfort? Our "floating COVID hospitals"?

They are docked at the port of ‘two weeks to flatten the curve” terminal BS!

The Mercy is dry docked for repairs in Oregon.
Hospital Ship USNS Mercy Tied Up in Maintenance, Can’t Deploy for COVID Relief

The Comfort is “at sea” (WTF!?!) en route to Norfolk scheduled to arrive MARCH 25!

The current position of USNS COMFORT is at US East Coast (coordinates 36.93419 N / 76.32997 W) reported 2 mins ago by AIS. The vessel is en route to the port of Norfolk, United States (USA), and expected to arrive there on Mar 25, 17:00.

The ship Trump sent to NY City remained empty. Its only COVID patients were a few crew members as I recall

the ships were always a bad idea for treating an infectious disease. A big floating petri dish? There's a reason cruise ships have virus outbreaks all the time. Those hospital ships are built for, and intended for, mass casualty events. War, earthquakes, stuff like that with lots of people with physical injuries. Even though the plan was to not put COVID patients onto the ships, it was for overflow of "other" people, it would have been inevitable they'd get an outbreak anyway. It would have been NY nursing homes all over. Even the feds saw that one coming and that's why they nixed it.

I don't know where the "March 25" comes from, but the AIS track shows it currently parked at the dock, in Norfolk right now. (per the link you posted)

And the Mercy is currently docked in San Diego...both ships waiting for the next war that is starting shortly.

My company spent a great deal of time and money procuring impossible to find things and helping the Army Corps put up a bunch of those temporary tent hospitals. I think exactly 0 ever got used.

The COVID response team on Travis is sitting on several million dollars worth of COVID isolation chamber package that hasn't deployed once and also several aircrews on standby and their medical kits, and that's just one location

I'll take your word for it, but.............

I've been working in hospitals up and down the west coast since before this thing started. I never ever saw the "reefers full of corpses" anywhere, at any time. Never saw the panic and desperation as depicted by the media. Not once. I did see busy ER's, but then the ER's in the towns I worked in were always busy. Saw a few isolation patients on the ICU floors, but that was about it.

However, I did see a lot of stupid people that believed the silly blue paper mask the hospitals handed out at the front door was the only thing protecting them from certain death.
