*Shocking I tell you. Shocking!
*Not really shocking. We've been saying this stuff since day one but what do we know? Just a bunch of armchair internet doctors who amazingly have an awesome track record of being correct.vindicta inducit ad salutem?Comment

I think your title is indeed correct.
Quote from the CDC report:
Before Delta became the predominant variant in June, case rates were higher among persons who survived a previous infection than persons who were vaccinated alone. By early October, persons who survived a previous infection had lower case rates than persons who were vaccinated alone.
However they still push the vax because per their thinking it's the least risky approach. (ie. better to be vaxxed and catch covid than to just handle it with no protection.) Of course I disagree. The Elderly/Sick/Obese should consider the vax since they're in the only meaningful risk group, everyone else should treat this like the common cold.Comment

I am starting to lose faith in this "natural immunity" thing. Many people are getting multiple infections of covid, both vaxxed and unvaxxed. I am reaching the end of my first go around with covid, probably the omicron version. Guess time will tell..............."I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. "follow the science" was always a diversionary statement. In the real world, there's practical limitations to it. An honest science answer would be 100% full complete quarantine for 100% of people, period. Scientifically that would work great. It's also unrealistic. Though I disagree with pretty much everything the gov't is doing, I understand some of the reasons. They first said don't worry about masks because the truth was there just weren't enough to go around, and there would be a panic run. So they slow rolled that messaging on purpose. I can fully believe true immunity is better. But it would be impossible to figure out who that is, who does and doesn't need shots etc. So it's just simpler to have everyone get the shot, as they figure it would be better to have maximum vax protection (what they consider protection), than to have a weird system with some people naturally immune, some vaxxed, and a probably huge third group that thinks they had covid but can't confirm but in truth are neither. It's just reality. From government's perspective, who desires control above all else (rough paraphrase from Lord of the Rings), the third option is not acceptable even if it's the right one for a free society. And it looks like that will end up the status quo anyway after the SC dumping on the fed mandate.Comment

Anyone completely immune to the Flu? Common cold?Comment

Natural Immunity was never designed to prevent you from getting COVID-19 - nobody ever said it was 100% effective - it was only meant to lessen the severity of the symptoms.
(As written on the third tablet that Moses dropped, and shuffled the broken pieces into the brush with his foot, hoping nobody would notice.)

I travel to Europe a lot for work and in the countries with a Covid Passport requirement to sit and eat or enter public buildings accept proof of previous infection. Makes sense to me, natural immunity results in the same goal as being vaxxed."If a man hasn't found something worth dying for, he isn't fit to live." - Martin Luther King Jr.
