There are no mandates for the general population* as of yet. Given that there was a Tory revolt when Plan B restrictions were voted on, its highly unlikely that the PM will raise mandates.

I'm guessing that it's a version of the bait-and-switch tactic.

They tell you they going to stop so it relieves some pressure from the people who are extremely mad but then they find a reason to not stop and maybe even take it up a step in more restrictions of Rights.

They did this in Canada. Eased restrictions, the loud minority of loud Karens would go crazy saying everyones gonna die if they ease restrictions then the government would fold and close everything up again.
