Sen. Cory "Spartacus" Booker, D-N.J., announced on Sunday night he has tested positive with a breakthrough case of the coronavirus.

"I’m beyond grateful to have received two doses of vaccine and, more recently, a booster – I’m certain that without them I would be doing much worse," he said.

"I [Pocahontas] regularly test for COVID & while I tested negative earlier this week, today I tested positive with a breakthrough case," Sen. Pocahontas tweeted on Sunday. "Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms & am grateful for the protection provided against serious illness that comes from being vaccinated & boosted."

Why does he/she regret it out of curiosity? Did he/she have side effects.

I had the vaccine (non-MRNA version) and during the Alpha/Delta wave considered it beneficial. I do agree with alot of you that as we progress through Omicron, vaccines and certainly boosters are probably no longer necessary unless you have certain co-morbidities.

Seems to me that if you live in an area where Delta is still prevalent and you are unvaccinated and have no natural immunity, just keep your head down for a few weeks until it starts to go extinct and then things should be fine.
