It's transparent to those of us with our eyes open. I was reading through the Reddit AMA with the US Surgeon General and the amount of people that are eagerly waiting to get their <5yo children jabbed is mind blowing.

So far, all of the political reaction is to the case doubling rates. It's too early to tell how dangerous this variant is, or if it will actually replace Delta, or is just hitting a different community.
