    Hippa

Forcing you to reveal your personal health status to a third party after being informed of the HIPAA Law are a third tier violation.
Where the person, individually, and the business entity they represent WILL EACH be subjected to a MINIMUM fine of $50,000.00 PER instance.
Get names of individuals, their home address and the business address and, in the case of large multitiered corporations, the store number, for proper assessment of respective fines.
FYI: In 2020, over 29 MILLION Dollars of fines were assessed upon individuals and their businesses.

For some reason I can not figure out the forum refused to attach a legible attachment.

Make sure that you understand the HIPAA law (as well as how to spell the acronym).

The penalties that are cited on your attachments only apply to persons and entities that are covered by the Act. They don't apply to uncovered persons and entities.

If my physician, or the records keeping service for my physician, releases my medical information, stand by for them to be fined as you have suggested.

But if my employer forces me to reveal medical information, there ain't nothing that HIPAA can do about it.

Here is a good secondary source describing HIPAA's "Covered Entities": https://www.hipaajournal.com/covered...s-under-hipaa/

      Thanks for the information.

BTW I cut and pasted the text and did not proof read it.

Anyway, Example... I went to a dermatologist. They asked if I was vaxxed. I said no. In hindsight I should have lied. I told them they DID not have my permission to share that information with anyone, doctors or insurance company.

So, if they share that information I have a HIPAA case??

if you did an e-checkin, you may have signed away your HIPPA rights. you need to read all the paperwork you're given.

IANAL and can't give any legal advice, but I think your question is answered in the link that I posted.

There are a lot of misconceptions out there about HIPAA out there. HIPAA applies to covered entities only, and these are generally tied to healthcare organizations. Straight from the government who wrote it:

The Privacy Rule applies only to covered entities; it does not apply to all persons or institutions that collect individually identifiable health information. It may, however, affect other types of entities that are not directly regulated by the Rule if they, for instance, rely on covered entities to provide PHI.

Covered entities are defined in the HIPAA rules as (1) health plans, (2) health care clearinghouses, and (3) health care providers who electronically transmit any health information in connection with transactions for which HHS has adopted standards. Generally, these transactions concern billing and payment for services or insurance coverage. For example, hospitals, academic medical centers, physicians, and other health care providers who electronically transmit claims transaction information directly or through an intermediary to a health plan are covered entities. Covered entities can be institutions, organizations, or persons.

My understanding is that all those entities are withing the circle of trust for your medical information - thus sharing is not a violation of HIPPA.
