Hello Calgunners!
My Covid Vaccine exemption was approved/granted temporary approval until 6/2022. I don't know if I would have to submit another exemption or what things/requirements might look like in 6/2022, but I might be safe at least for another 6 or so months.
In any case, I guess I will have to start doing weekly testing in order to keep my job. Although yes it may be nice to have the temporary approval, I do not want to do the nasal swab test. Here is a link below, the nasal swab tests contain ethylene oxide and are said to be cancer causing. (Yes, I understand a lot of things these days cause cancer or whatever, but with cancer rates being very high, with 1 out of every 2 or so people being diagnosed with cancer, it would be in my best interest to not increase my chances by swabbing ethylene oxide in my nose on a weekly basis).
Thank you!
Note: There may be some individuals who may scoff at this post and think the cancer risk is miniscule. I am not trying to debate about cancer risks with this post. I am hoping to find a good saliva testing place I can go for my job.
Note #2: At home saliva spit testing is not the most feasible. It's like 90 bucks or so for 1 test, which would be like 500 bucks/month just for testing
Note #3: It's dumb that southern california kaiser offers saliva spit test but bay area/nor cal does not. Blah. This whole thing is dumb.
