He will likely not give up his powers voluntarily.

This is why I consider Washington perhaps the greatest of all presidents. He not only started the job without any established guides, but when given the option to stay on indefinitely he decided to step away from power. Very few politicians have EVER done this.

The powers to be originally wanted America to have an elite ruling class and offered Washington the job of King. He declined and we see a lot of his guidance in how the job of President was defined in the Constitution. Some of his Masonic ideals certainly played a part. When you become Master of a lodge you are admonished that your brethren elected you to the job for a specific period of time and you serve at their pleasure. When your term is over you hand the gavel to your successor and resume your place among the members. You have no more clout than any other member after your term is over.

My question is, what's the emergency? Life is pretty much back to normal. Bodies aren't piling up on the streets. Most of the sheep have gotten the jab.

The emergency is we don't have full compliance of the populous yet. That's been the only emergency since the beginning.
