I got the flu shot for years without problems or without question over it's safety.
But this time, there has been a deliberate political philosophy attached to getting the shot.
Combine that with holier than thou social shamers and virtue signalers advocating getting the jab.
And with the Constant conflicting statements from every Covid Advocate and the outright Lies from Fauci I choose to exercise caution.

My in-laws and extended family are the same, 100% lib and 100% vaccinated. Refuse to see us even if we promise to wear masks and get tested daily.

My elderly parents are just as bad, fully vaxxed. Now they live in a place where it's possible to get vax card either via the vax or by showing that you've had covid and recovered. Yet they think "covid is driven by the unvaccinated":

I agree, when someone doesn't respect my family it's a problem, regardless if they're family or not, I've cutoff lots of family for various reasons, the thing about this is that it's not her family trying to convince us of taking the vaccine, it's the lack of compassion my wife feels from them. I imagine it's hard for someone who lives of off the government to understand what we feel like, I obviously don't want to lose my job over this and I want my kids to continue going to school. My wife and I are on the same page, I find myself aligning with people who share my views more and I believe my wife is seeking understanding from her parents, it's more of a dynamic of the relationship my wife has with her parents, if I was her I would've cut them out a long time ago.Comment

Sometimes bringing things out in the open for discussion allow you to see things differently, I agree with this statement, can't say I had much respect for him ever, never held a job or supported his family, that's what a man is supposed to do, couldn't imagine ever just waking up everyday to do nothing, well maybe one day later in life.Comment
